My first “thank you” goes to the Mission Fund and to Malta Missjunarja which are doing their utmost notwithstanding all the sacrifices, to help all Maltese missionaries. Thank you to them and to the generous Maltese people, who are helping our poor people less fortunate than the Maltese people are.

My name has appeared several times on newspapers and this is the second time that I am arriving here from Cameroon. We are four sisters who have charity at our hearts, coming from four different countries, and we have been living in a remote village, Njindom, since March 2009. Our village had never seen sisters before, for nobody ever accepted to go to such a remote village. We did, believing that it was God who was calling us there. I will never forget the welcome we received from those poor but so good people. I carry out pastoral work but I pass the whole morning in the parish office listening to the people’s problems. From the very first day, I won their trust, and men, women and youths came to seek assistance.

I am also in charge of the teachers’ salaries and the pupils’ fees, so I meet many parents who speak of their family life. This is the best way to know them, especially when I succeed to visit them at their homes.

During these two years I noticed the improvement and sacrifices parents are doing to send their children to school, when before they preferred to keep them at home to work, especially in the fields.

I came to Malta with a dream. Yes, I have a dream, to return to Cameroon with at least €3000 to build a kindergarten. We must do our best to have at least Catholic children frequent a Catholic kindergarten. This means money. Please help in making my dream come true and let us together make it a reality. Let our little ones especially be brought up in a Catholic way, with profound Catholic morals so as to lead a real, good Catholic life.

This last academic year 2010-2011, I was able to pay the fees of some poor pupils, buy their school books or uniforms to others, thanks to generous Maltese people who helped Malta Missjunarja and the Mission Fund. Will I be able to help them again this coming year? This depends on your generosity and love for the poor.

I end, by saying that I would also like to help financially the sacristan’s family, whose six children are always crying because they are hungry. How can a family of six persons live with the miserable salary of €40 monthly? This is only one example out of so many others of people who break your heart and block your stomach when you hear them crying or trembling for want of food. Do we have the courage to take three meals a day when these miserable people barely have one poor meal a day?
