Thomas Paris Moves to Floriana and Karl Pulo to Tarxien Rainbows

Two Birkirkara players – Thomas Paris and Karl Pulo - have changed club over the past two days.

Thomas Paris has become the property of Floriana FC after the Greens reached agreement with Birkirkara FC over the player’s permanent move.

Last season, Paris had been on loan from the Stripes and had quite a successful season at Floriana.

Paris is a Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery product and made his debut in the Premier League on the 2 January 2004 when the Stripes lost 2-3 against Pieta Hotspurs.

It was in January of last season that he moved on loan to Floriana where he made 12 appearances helping the side to win the FA Trophy.

The other player is Karl Pulo who was transferred to Tarxien Rainbows FC.

Pulo joined Birkirkara FC in the 2009 Summer Transfer Window. In his first season with the Stripes, he helped the side achieve an unexpected title win – the third in the club’s history.

Birkirkara have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer market so far.

Apart from a host of new foreigners, they also signed locals Gareth Sciberras from Marsaxlokk and Leighton Grech from Vittoriosa.

But they have also lost the services of some players. In the past week, apart from Paris and Pulo, they also lost defender Patrick Borg to Marsaxlokk – his move was part of the deal that saw Sciberras moving to the Stripes.

And another Stripes player, Emiliano Lattes, also joined Marsaxlokk after being released earlier this week.
