The under 16 Maltese national team will be in San Marino between 12 and 17 July to take part in the FIBA Europe European Championships Division C.
The preparations for this tournament started months ago, however the training was intensified in the last days.
In this competition Malta will be playing in Group B together with Gibraltar and the organizers, San Marino. Andorra, Monaco and Wales will be competing in Group A.
Malta’s first game will be on Tuesday against hosts San Marino.
Malta’s second game will be played on Wednesday against Gibraltar. Friday and Saturday the qualifying games will be played with the finals scheduled for Sunday 17 July. The Maltese contingent is confident to get a positive result from this competition.
