Maltese international referee Bernard Vassallo began another appointment, in Serbia, where the European Women U/20 competition is being held, with 16 nations playing in four groups, as follows:

Group A: Germany, Poland, Serbia and Ukraine.

Group B: Lithuania, Romania, Russia and Turkey.

Group C: Belarus, France, Italy and Netherlands.

Group D: Great Britain, Latvia, Slovakia and Spain.

Vassallo’s first match was in Group C, between Italy and France, a close match, won by the French, 60-58

He will be officiating matches in the last two groups.
