Malta Independent Sunday, 10 July 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

A higher interest rate on savings accounts, unsecured loans at competitive interest rates and fee-free credit cards are among the benefits enjoyed by students who join the BOV Club before 31 October.

Bank of Valletta has just launched this year’s BOV Club package featuring a series of exclusive value-added benefits to post-secondary and university students aged between 16 and 25.

BOV Club members can benefit from competitive interest rates on personal loans of up to €5,000. Moreover, they can avail themselves of an extended loan term of seven years for the purchase of a new vehicle.

Club benefits also include a fee-free BOV Club Cashlink Visa Debit Card or a BOV Club Cashlink Electron Debit Card. Students can also take up a fee-free BOV Visa Classic or BOV MasterCard with a credit limit of €500, which can be increased to €900 if the BOV Club Member has a BOV Lifelink life assurance policy. Students interested in travel can benefit from the fee-free purchase of foreign drafts, as well as preferential exchange rates on the purchase and sale of foreign currency notes.

Those who apply for BOV Club membership and choose to credit their stipend into a BOV account will also receive a welcome gift from a vast selection. These include vouchers that can be redeemed at Parfois, PiazzaItalia, Peacocks or Agenda Bookshop, a multi function all-in-one HP printer and a verbatim portable hard drive. A Canon IXUS HS 115 12.1MP digital camera and Remington My Mini Range Collection and haircutter are also being offered at special prices.

Further details of the BOV Club and the gifts on offer can be found at the BOV Club website www.bov.com\bovclub or on the club’s Facebook page. Students are welcome to visit the BOV Club stand at the University of Malta between 18 and 23 July or the MCAST main campus between 25 and 29 July, or visit any BOV branch.
