We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Mission Fund and all its benefactors for their generous donation to the cause of the mission in Guam.
Guam, a small island in Micronesia in the Pacific, has been our home as a family in mission, along with our five children, for over six years now. We were invited here in the New Evangelisation of Oceania according to the vision of Blessed Pope John Paul II, in particular to assist in the running of a new Redemptoris Mater seminary for the formation of diocesan and missionary priests. We also help in giving catechesis for adults in the parishes and helping the parish priest in his pastoral work such as giving Catechism classes or visiting homes with the aim of reaching those who no longer come to church to receive the sacraments. We also visit inmates in prison.
This mission, which has sprouted slowly out of our experience in the Neocatechumenal Way, has brought us immense joy and by far exceeds our ability or imagination! We have been witnesses to many beautiful signs: people who turn to a new life with the announcement of Jesus Christ, take for starters! Leaving behind the security of a comfortable life in Malta to follow the Lord in mission has been a gift for our family.
We would like to appeal to the public who may wish to help Mission Fund in this noble effort so that Maltese missionaries in third world countries can continue to receive support. The Mission Fund is accepting used stamps or monetary donations. These can be made online or by direct bank transfer to the following accounts: HSBC (Account No. 061 197 448 050), BOV (Account No. 163 007 980 19), APS (Account No. 200 008 207 62) or BANIF (Account No. 000 879 631 01). Please also note that more information is available from the website www.missionfund.org.mt.
May the Lord bless all the benefactors a hundredfold for their generosity and we assure you of our prayers while asking you please to pray for us.
