Jean Gauci obtained the bronze medal in the shot competition yesterday. Daniel Ventorino finished in 8th position in the same competition.

In other athletics events, Chris Chetcuti finished fourth in the boys 800m, and Nicole Gatt obtained the same position in the girls 200m.

The girls 4x100m relay team could only obtain the sixth position. The team was made up of Carla Micallef, Rachel Fitz, Ylenia Lapira, Nicole Gatt.

The boys team did not go much better finishing in fifth place. The team was made up of Jeffrey Galea, Neil Muscat, Michael Umnov and Joshua Chircop.

Other rather disappointing results were obtained in swimming with various relay teams not going beyond the sixth place.
