Many people think of Margaret Thatcher as being the cliché for the expression Iron lady. I believe that our own Mary Fenech Adami is worthy to share the mantle.

They say that behind every successful man, is a good woman, and I would dare say that this is the case with Eddie Fenech Adami.

One can tell, when one speaks about her, that she was his rock, his refuge, a voice of reason and a source of courage. She stood fast when her house was ransacked and looted, she stood fast through thick and thin. She was a source of courage and should be an inspiration to us all. To raise a family, with the pressures of her husband’s office, she deserves praise. To do so in adversity merits even more. You will be remembered
