First Division League champions Mosta will be taking part in the UEFA Champions League mini tournament in Subotica, Serbia, next month.

They are in Group 5 together with hosts ŽFK Spartak Jaffa, Glasgow City LFC of Scotland and KÍ Klaksvík of the Faroe Islands.

The tournament is to be played between 11 and 16 August.

Mosta play against Klaksvik on 11 August, Glasgow City on 13 August and Spartak on 16 August.

There are eight groups in all with all the group winners and the best two runners-up advancing to the draw for the rounds of 32 and 16 on 23 August, with the two-legged knockout phase beginning the following month.

Mosta are the second club to represent Malta in the competition. Birkirkara took part in 2007 and 2009, suffering heavy defeats in both mini-tournaments.
