Karting: Good Results for Trevor Muscat in Sicily

Maltese karting driver Trevor Muscat won the pole position (overall) in the 125 Rotax Max category in Sicily at the Kartodromo Sole - Luna, and went on to finish second in the under 30 class and third overall in the final, after finishing second in the pre-final - both overall and in his class (under 30).

The time of 56.403 seconds registered by Trevor in the qualifying practice session remained the fastest time of the event and that included the heats and the final. 

Davide Vincenzo Scuto was the winner of the final clocking 56’786 to Muscat’s 56.’711.

In the Open event, another Maltese driver, Gianluca Dingli, finished fourth in the pole position and fifth in the pre-final. He was seventh overall.

In the Under 30 event, as already stated, Muscat was first, while Gianluca Dingli was third with his time of 56’822. In the pre-final, Muscat was second and Dingli fourth, while in the final, Muscat maintained second place in a time of 56’821 behind the winner, Salvatore Battaglia, who clocked 56’711. Dingli finished sixth overall in 57’651.
