Floriana FC and SS Lazio have signed an agreement which allows for the former to benefit from the nursery and football expertise of the Italian club.
The agreement was signed after a short press conference by Floriana FC President Johann Said and SS Lazio Youth Sector President Giulio Colletta. Several members of the Floriana FC Committee and SS Lazio were also present for the signing.
In his address, Floriana Nursery President Dr Hugh Peralta thanked the Lazio delegation for their initiative adding that it was hoped this would nurture talent at a local level.
On his part, Generale Colletta said that this was the first time that the Lazio nursery was active outside the country adding that this was an opportunity for Maltese talent to be identified and to expand accordingly. He warned on the over training of promising boys confirming the importance of a healthy training regime which would benefit all in the end.
The agreement provides for various opportunities for Floriana youngsters including the participation in foreign tournaments abroad.
