Local international referee Terry Camilleri has been chosen by World Snooker as one of the referees for the first ranking tournament of the season which takes place in Australia, that is, the Australian Goldfields Open.

Australia is hosting this world ranking event for the first time at Bendigo Stadium in Victoria from next Monday to the following Sunday. Top stars including John Higgins, Stephen Hendry, Shaun Murphy, Ding Junhui and home favourite Neil Robertson will be contesting the title.
