Floriana were beaten 1-0 in Larnaca yesterday against Cypriot side AEK in the return leg of the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

AEK had already won 8-0 in Malta and yesterday’s narrow win, courtesy of a a Kyriakos Pavlou goal after 26 minutes, completed the formalities.

AEK qualified for the nnext round with a 9-0 aggregate.

Floriana, who had only one attempt at goal, played as follows:

Matthew Towns, Owen Bugeja, Thoams Paris, Pablo Doffo, Manolito Micallef, Ivan Woods, Duncan Pisani, Joseph Borg, Tyrone Farrugia, Clyde Borg and Christaian Cassar. Christian Caruana and Brooke Farrugia went in as substitutes in the second half.
