Shooting: Top World class shooters arrive for 2nd Malta International Double Trap GP

Top World Class Double Trap shooters arrived in Malta and are presently training at The MSSF ranges in Bidnija.

Amoung them is Saad Almutairi from Kuwait. He has been here for a week and is training along Maltese shooters William Chetcuti and Nathan Lee Xuereb.

Yesterday afternoon Hakan Dahlby, who even took part in last year’s Grand Prix, arrived from Sweden and went straight to the shooting ranges to practise. The Italian contingent includes Olympic medalist Francesco D’Aniello. Finland’s, Simo Koylinen was expected to arrive later yesterday.

This evening The Malta Shooting Sport Federation is expected to hold the opening ceremony with style for these high profile shooters and guests aboard The MV Fernandes that will sail from Bugibba jetty at 8.00pm to the north of the Maltese Islands.

Tomorrow morning the official training will be organized at Bidnija where every shooter will shoot three rounds of 50 clays each.

On Sunday, the second Malta International Double Trap Grand Prix 2011 is sheduled to start at 9.00am. The spectacular barrage finals for the best six shooters onspecial flash targets is expexted to start at 2.30pm.

A considerable number of professional artistic photographers are expected to take the opportunity and capture best shooters taking part in this unique event with the ideal background of the Bidnija landscape.

The Maltese public is invited to support this high profile unique event where the entrance is free of charge thanks to MSV Life, Bank of Valletta, Blueline, Pintonino and KMS.
