Sliema Wanderers won their first of three friendly matches in Bulgaria yesterday when they beat local side
Bansko 3-2.
A small note on the club’s official website said that the Blues played a good match, taking the lead through Jorge Santos Silva as early as the second minute.
It said the match was rather balanced and the better chances always fell to the Blues.
After the break, Bansko immediately equalised and soon after also took the lead.
However, Sliema equalised immediately through an own goal and then in the 80th minute Jerry Ani scored the winner with a cool finish.
