Two tight matches are expected this evening at the National Pool at Tal-Qroqq as the first division national league continues.

In the first match, Neptunes will make their debut with a match against Sirens while in the match that follows, Sliema face San Giljan.

After the first two days, Sliema lead the standings on six points, followed by Neptunes and San Giljan on five, Sirens on one and Exiles with no points. But Neptunes have today’s match in hand as they were inactive so far. The points include the bonus points awarded at the end of the preliminary round.

While Neptunes should be considered favourites to beat Sirens, Sliema might be given a very tough time by the Saints who are keen to give both local giants a strong challenge for the title.
