Sliema Wanderers have defeating one of the top football teams in Bulgaria, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, thanks to a goal scored by Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza.

It was Sliema’s second of three friendly matches being played by the local club during their 10-day training camp in Bulgaria which started last Friday. Earlier they had beaten local side Bansko 3-2.
According to a report on the club’s official website, the Blues were forced to defend for long stretches in the first half as the home side had ample ball possession. Sliema goalkeeper Henry Bonello, was also in irresistible form making a string of impressive saves from the Plovdiv forwards.
