Champions Valletta won the Mare Blu Cup for the second successive year after they beat Hamrun Spartans 3-0 yesterday evening at the Centenary Stadium.

Valletta took an early lead courtesy of an unlucky own goal of Hamrun’s defender Roderick Fenech.

Michael Mifsud doubled Valletta’s lead with a good goal after a solo effort and then the Citizens sealed their win with an Ian Zammit strike from the edge of the area.
