Third placed Sliema must beat league leaders Neptunes today as the Bank of Valletta national leagues continues at the Tal-Qroqq national pool.
The two local giants meet once again this evening in another crucial match. If Neptunes win this evening, they will open a six-point gap over San Giljan in the standings and move to eight points ahead of their great rivals Sliema.
And that would mean a good advantage taking into consideration the play-offs at the end of the campaign. In fact, the first placed will be meeting the fourth placed team in the best of three play-off semifinals, while the other semifinal will see the second and third placed teams facing each other.
Prior to this match, San Giljan will try to recover after their defeat against Neptunes on Saturday as they face bottom placed Exiles.
At this stage of the competition, it is evident that all the clubs are doing their utmost to win points so as to finish their campaign in the upper part of the table, thus maintaining their interest till the end.
