Birkirkara FC’s technical staff and coaches of the senior, Under 19 and women’s teams, together with coaches from the Birkirkara FC Youth Nursery, attended a First Aid course.

The course was sponsored by ‘Ame health and safety services limited’ and was held at the club’s training facilities in Birkirkara. The course was delivered by Nigel Bruno of Emergency First Response.

The course was tailor made to prepare the attendees for the most common emergencies that they can encounter in the world of football, such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, besides general basic first aid. Theoretical sessions were followed by practical sessions so that the participants could have some hands on experience.

Mario Camilleri, Director of ‘Ame health and safety’ said: “We decided to sponsor the course because we wanted Birkirkara FC to have a safer environment during all training sessions from Youth Nursery to the senior team. We believe that keeping the players safe is the club’s top priority and that aid given in the first moments of an emergency can make all the difference.”

Birkirkara FC thanked ‘Ame health and safety’ for making this course possible and for their continuous support.
