Spanish striker Moises Avila Perez signed a one-year contract with Premier League club Birkirkara FC yesterday.

The 23-year old Moises played for Spanish side Atletico Victoria in the Tercera Division last season and ended up their best scorer with 25 goals in 38 matches as Victoria clinched promotion.

Moises impressed the Birkirkara committee with his performances in the Gammari Muscat Mosta tournament last month, scoring two hat-tricks for the Stripes against Tarxien Rainbows and Vittoriosa Stars.

Moises joins other new foreign signing, Brazilian central defender Rodrigo Pereira at Birkirkara.
