Malta’s U-17 national team lost to Hungary 2-1 in the first match of the Hungarian International Tournament being played in Hungary.

Paolo Dandolo scored Malta’s goal from a free kick shortly before the quarter hour, but the hosts, reduced to 10 men in the second half, turned the tables to earn victory.

Malta will next play Slovakia and Croatia, the other teams taking part in this tournament.
