The seemingly irresistible Neptunes side seems to be gaining momentum from match to match and after their clear win against their bitter rivals Sliema last Tuesday, the question is who will be stopping them this season?

The side under the charge of Sergei Markoch is definitely showing championship title stuff once again and it is evident that it weill be difficult for any team to lower their colours this season, even if everything will hinge on the play-offs at the end of the campaign.

Today, Markoch’s side is expected to clinch another win as they face bottom placed Exiles.

Tomorrow, the match between Sirens and Sliema offers a chance for either team to battle it out for an improvement in the standings as the two clubs, together with second placed San Giljan, seek to finish the campaign in second or third place, to avoid a play-off with Neptunes, who are expected to finish on top.

In the second division, Valletta and Ta’ Xbiex will also be meeting today in a match in which both sides will seek to improve their position in the standings, while tomorrow, leaders Marsascala should have little difficulty in beating Gozitan side Otters.
