Valletta seemed to have done enough to garner their three points, but a late penalty, nine seconds from time, salvaged a point for Ta’ Xbiex, which leaves them chasing the same Valletta in the standings.

It was Ta’ Xbiex in the elad after the opening session, but Valletta turned the tables till the interval with a 6-4 lead.

At the start of the last period it was all square at 7-7,and though the Citizens eked out a slim goal advantage, it was not enough as Ta” Xbiex grabbed a late equalizer.

At the start of the encounter Christian Cluett of Ta’ Xbiex, was awarded the trophy for the second tier Player of the Month, by the head of marketing, BOV, Edward Muscat Azzopardi.

Valletta had Giorgio Sammut with a hat trick, and Rheinhard Attard and Yuri Szeles of Ta’ Xbiex finished up with four goals each.
