A Good read

Malta Independent Wednesday, 10 August 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 16 years ago

I am not generally inclined in taking an interest in reading serving or past politicians’ publications carried in the printed media. I made an exception in going through from A to Z, Dr George Vella’s highly absorbing and informative interview, published in The Malta Independent on 1 August entitled ‘I don’t want to see Libya divided’.

I was profoundly impressed by the clarity, intelligent thinking and expression of his thoughts related to so many past and current topics ingenuously conveyed in a straightforward and pleasant language.

This, to my way of thinking, is undoubtedly the product of a highly intelligent, educated, critical and professional brain of which we should be highly proud and thankful to have in our midst.

I must confess I ended up a much wiser person after going through his thoughts and observations.

The interview with Dr Vella is truly an exceptional intellectual eye-opener at the same time as being a very plausible and edifying article which afforded me veritable reading enjoyment.

Sincere congratulations to Dr Vella and may he keep up his remarkably excellent work so difficult to come by in our time.

More of the same stuff should be, diagnostically and clinically, healthy to the national well-being.
