Valletta Dhalia 12

(3-3) (2-2)(2-5)(3-2)

Valletta are still chasing the league leaders, M’skala, as they recorded their third straight victory over Otters.

The first part of the game was a close affair, with the lead changing hands three times in the first period. The Citizens then twice went in front, in the second session, but the two teams were level at the interval, at 5-5.

Valletta then took a winning advantage after the break, with a three goal lead, before the two teams shared the next four goals. In the last session Otters drew very close once more, to a goal behind, but Valletta then restored their lead, and could cruise home till the final buzzer.

Otters failed to score in their two meagre man ups. They had their two foreigners with three goals each. Valletta had an extra player in the water on four occasions, and scored in two of them. For them Robert Munkascy obtained a poker of goals, and Timmy Agius with three strikes.
