Malta’s Tony Drago was eliminated from the Players Tour Championship Event 2 at Sheffield this week after losing narrowly 3-4 to Fergal O’Brien in a Last 32 match.

The Valletta-born ace started the tournament on a top note, beating Dechawat Poomjaeng 4-3 in the first round and then went on to claim a prestigious 4-2 win against Joe Perry in the second round.

It was by far Drago’s best performance so far this season after having been eliminated early in the Shanghai Masters qualifiers.
