Fantasy and science fiction combine in FP (Forbidden Power), which brings together the depth and intrigue of a role playing game, the excitement of a trading card game, the unique experience of commanding an army of painted miniature models in a table top strategy game, the pleasure of reading comics and novels, and the pride of owning an enviable collection of action figures from the world of Movies, Manga and Anime (Japanese animation TV series).
The gaming store Forbidden Power is running a series of exclusive demonstrations of some of the world’s most exciting games at the Bay Street Conference Hall on Sunday 21 August from 9am to 7pm. The public is invited to see the attractive set-up of detailed painted miniatures, fantastic dioramas that feature landscapes, castles, hills, forests and ruins, and to try out these interesting demos for free.
Think dragons, fighting knights in shining armor, legions of skeleton warriors marching under the control of a powerful wizard, sleek spaceships blasting laser beams in epic galactic battles and super-heroes saving the earth from eternal baddies.
Gaming demonstrations will include the Lord of the Rings miniature figure tabletop strategy game; the Warhammer miniature figure tabletop strategy game; the Pokémon trading card game; the Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game and the Magic the Gathering trading card game.
Mica (the Maltese Islands Cosplay Association) will also have an information desk with personnel to answer all your questions.
