EHF delegate, Alan Grima has completed his assignment during the Women’s Under 19 European Championship which was held in the Netherlands.
The tournament was played between Thursday 4 and Sunday 14 August and was hosted in five different cities: Leek, Arnhem, Almelo, Maastricht and Rotterdam.
During this European Championship, Grima was appointed as match supervisor in 10 matches, namely Germany – Serbia (21-16); Serbia – France (33-31); France – Germany (26-13) and Sweden – Serbia (26-27); Croatia – Sweden (20-30); Serbia – Croatia (29-23); Slovenia – Poland (25-26); France – Norway (20-19); Slovenia – Ukraine (25-20) and Germany – Norway (32-20).
The Final Day at Topsportcentrum in Rotterdam was sold out. 2,000 spectators witnessed Denmark winning the tournament beating the Netherlands 29-27 after a four goal half time lead. This was the third gold medal for Denmark in the history of the Women’s Under 19 European Championships.
