The Southern Trap Grand Prix was organised at The Hal-Far shooting ranges between Sunday and Monday. This competition was on 125 clays trap, with the best six to qualify for a barrage final of another 25 clays.
Dr Marlene Pullicino was the main sponsor for this event.
The good weather with a very low swell helped the shooters to achieve high scores with five minimum qualifying scores.
Jason J. Aquilina was the overall winner with 117+17=134. Stephen Vella placed second with 113+20=133+s/off+2; Noel Attard was third with 115+18=133+s/off+1; George Cassar fourth with 122+19=131+s/off+3; Stanley Cardona fifth with 112+19=131+s/off+2 and Jeffery Pisani sixth with 111+18=129.

The Southern Shooting Club will be organizing competitions ‘Dritta’ and Sporting, on Saturday, from 2pm onwards and on Sunday 8.30am onwards.
These annual events will be organised to raise funds for ‘Dar Tal-Providenza’ in Siggiewi. Prizes in both competitions are a shotgun and trophies.
