Malta’s leading quad-play communications and entertainment provider – has just launched TLC, the international entertainment channel for women. TLC is the flagship female-targeted channel broadcast by Discovery Networks – the world-wide media giant - and will transmit on GO’s Electronic Programme Guide Channel 503 for GO digital tv and Channel 303 for GO interactive TV as of today
TLC is replacing Discovery Travel & Living and will launch with a pan-European feed with a programme schedule that has been tailored for the local market and includes brand new smash hit shows. The channel will still show many of T&L’s most popular shows including Cake Boss, Kate Plus 8, Say Yes to the Dress, What Not To Wear, Toddlers and Tiaras etc. but will also add a vibrant mix of new content that has proved to be very popular in the US and internationally.
TLC has already been launched in eight other European countries and will be launched in five countries, including Malta, today.
Discovery Networks said that TLC is proving to be incredibly popular in these countries where it has already been launched and that they were sure it would be well received in Malta too.
GO will be the first operator in Malta to launch TLC – which is aimed at women aged between 25 and 49 – and broadcasts the best lifestyle, reality and inspirational entertainment programmes from around the world. The channel which finds extraordinary real life characters and tells their stories will join Discovery Networks’ other channels already on the GO tv line-up including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery World, Discovery Science, ID: Investigation Discovery and Discovery HD Showcase.

Key programme genres include weddings, fashion, food, parenting, travel and lifestyle. Top new series on the channel at launch include Sister Wives, which documents the life of a polygamist family living in Utah, with patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives and their 16 children.
