UEFA President Michel Platini has showered praise on the new stadium of Italian giants Juventus, saying that it is significant for the club’s future success.

Juventus will be the only Serie A side to own their stadium. A former Juventus No 10, Platini believes that the new stadium could prove to be the start of a new era at the club.

Juventus officially open their new 41,000-seater stadium with a friendly against Notts County on Thursday evening, before welcoming Parma for the ground's first Serie A fixture scheduled for Sunday at lunchtime.
