All is square between Sliema ASC and defending champions Neptunes as both teams have won a game each making it 1-1 after the opening two games.

Today, the two sides face each other again at Tal-Qroqq and both will be seeking to gain an important advantage before the fourth match is played next Thursday.

Sunday’s match, in which Sliema overcame their bitter rivals in dramatic fashion in extra time, was by far the best match of the season and it is obvious that the fans will again be crowding the Tal-Qroqq pool this evening for what could be another enthralling encounter.

Sliema had to dig deep on Sunday to win the encounter in extra time, after Neptunes had taken what seemed to be a commanding 8-3 lead by the end of the second session.

But the Blues’ revival in the final two sessions enabled them to force extra time, following which they emerged winners.

Now that the two teams are back to square one and with Sliema having finally beaten their rivals for the first time this season, it is safe to say that the title could go either way.
