I write in connection with a ditch which has been an eyesore and also an open invitation to danger, in Lija. This ditch, which can be found in Annibale Pace Street, was dug up over a month ago and then just filled up, but not covered with a layer of tar for a smooth and even finish.

The residents in this road have been left with a source of dust especially on windy days, and also an uneven level in the road where one can easily twist his ankle or jam a wheel.

A quick action to rectify this long standing problem would be greatly appreciated by the residents concerned.
