This photo was taken recently showing our new entrance of tal-Virtu’ Rabat. This large box (which looks like a wardrobe with one door) was placed recently on the centre strip leading into the neighbourhood.

Certainly all of us would have wished that instead of this box, a small statue with the words ‘Welcome to tal-Virtu’ would have been placed, but, wishful thinking. At least this eyesore could have been placed and hidden among the trees which are on this same centre strip.

Undoubtedly, as it looks now, it sends a message of negligence. With a little more effort, things could have been much better.
