Clive Farrugia, right, took part in the ISSF World Championships 2011 being organised in Belgrade.
Clive managed 19, 22 and 23 in the opening three rounds, while in the fourth and fifth, he smashed 23 and 24 finishing with a score of 111/125, the same as six other shooters. He was assisted by his coach Luduvico Di Maio.
He placed 112th from among 122 shooters.
Clive’s participation in these events was made possible thanks to his Olympic Solidarity through the Malta Olympic Committee.
The event was won with an equal world record of 125/125 +24=149+shoot off+12 by Aramburu Juan Hose of Spain. The silver medal went to Brovold Tore of Norway with 124+25=149+s/off+11.
Alrashidi Abdullah of Kuwait won bronze with 124+25=149+s/off+9.
