Malta Independent Friday, 16 September 2011, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

Another horse-racing meeting will be held at the Marsa race-track on Friday at 7pm.

The main attraction is the Premier class race with a line up worthy of a final. It includes current Tazza l-Kbira holder Kakisis, Summer Championship winner Major Chaleonnais, last year’s Dragonara championship runner-up Play on Me, Livi Cantona, winner of four races this year, and a host of other well-known trotters.

Three interesting newcomers hailing from France, Germany and Sweden are also expected to make their debut.

No less than six newcomers will also feature in the Gold class, apart from some well-known names such as Swedish She’s Dreamlike coming from two straight wins in its first two races locally, French Prix de Cabourg winner Lys des Etroits and other valid horses.

Two interesting Silver class races and a race for each of the Bronze and Copper classes complete the trot programme, with additional variety being assured with a ponies’ race in mid-programme.

As the weather freshens, and with the quality of the participating horses guaranteeing uncertain finishes, all spectators are assured an enjoyable evening at the racecourse.
