The winner of the Yellow Pages directory cover competition has been announced. Luca Cauchi, an MCAST Institute of Art & Design student has had his design chosen from among 22 other entries to grace the front cover of the 2011/2012 edition of the Yellow Pages directory. He was presented with a cash prize of €300 and given credit within the directory. Two runner ups were also selected – Matthew Spiteri and Keith Brincat. Each received a Yellow Pages merchandise bag. In addition, Yellow Pages (Malta) Ltd also donated €300 worth of book vouchers to the MCAST Institute of Art & Design library.

A Yellow Pages representative said, “The selected design is fully in line with the main historical theme running through our advertising campaign. Our bid to cooperate with the Institute in order to have a livelier and more contemporary design on the directory’s front cover has proved successful and we are fully satisfied in the students’ participation in the event. We believe such an experience does not only benefit us as a company since we are tapping local talent, but also helps bridge the gap students feel between college training and the work environment.”
