I take it that this rubbish dump in Xatt il-Mollijiet in Marsa is being ‘formed’ by people from this locality i.e Marsa townspeople. I don’t think that people from say, Sliema or Ħamrun or Birkirkara are coming here to dump their rubbish.

I find it truly unbelievable that residents from the same area would put their town to such shame. The only solution lies in harsh penalties for people caught dumping on the site. For these louts to be caught there needs to be strict supervision on the area which will finally pay dividends, with no mercy shown.
