Żminijietna - Voice of the Left supports General Workers Union in its appeal to the Company ARRIVA to address the nonsensical situation the workers have been put into.

Żminijietna is highly concerned about the new work practices that the company is adopting. We are referring to the chaotic situation where the workers have to wait for a long time in the scorching sun to swap places with other drivers, outside Mall Gardens in Floriana.

These primitive conditions will not be of benefit to the workers and to the service given. In reality, these measures will result in more stress on the workers. New work practices should always take in consideration the working conditions.

Even if this new measure is for only a short period of time, we appeal to all those responsible to come out with a proper solution for the benefit of the workers. Workers should be treated with dignity.
