Dutch model Talitha van Zon, who was among a number of people who fled to Malta on a gruelling 35-hour trip last month, was reportedly arrested at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

She was first mentioned in the news in late August, after she reportedly fell from a balcony in the Libyan capital Tripoli. She was there at the invitation of Mutassim Gaddafi, one of the sons of the now ousted leader Muammar Gaddafi.

Talitha worked for a long time as a model. She appeared on Playboy, among others. Mutassim Gaddafi knew her from the nightlife.

According to the British newspaper The Sunday Telegraph she called her trip to Tripoli her biggest mistake. She was shocked when she met Mutassim. The war turned him into a ruthless warrior. “His eyes were cold. He looked like he was able to kill someone. I wondered: what am I doing here in Libya?” she told the newspaper.

Talitha arrived in Malta on 29 August with a group of 46 people who were evacuated from Tripoli on board a Maltese ship.
