Dr Gonzi and Dr Muscat should agree that Malta’s National Day should be on 8 September, which is generally known as Victory Day and is a date that will definitely unite the Maltese nation once and for all.

In fact, we should incorporate Independence Day, Republic Day, Freedom Day and Victory Day into one big feast and celebrate all four memorable days in a big way, together, as one nation on 8 September.

Having a National Day on 21 September and/or on 31 March will not unite the Maltese nation.

Come on you guys, it’s about time we all changed our attitude and stopped acting like children.
