National coach John Buttigieg and assistant Carmel Busuttil yesterday named the 18-men squad which will be travelling to Latvia for a Euro qualifier match on Friday.

The match is the first of the last two qualifiers in the Euro 2012 qualifying round the other being next Tuesday’s home match against Israel.

Valletta’s and national team captain Michael Mifsud was dropped as he is still carrying a hamstring injury.
