Malta’s only veteran team, The Marauders, are to face the ‘Old Blacks’ of Milan on Saturday at the Marsa Sports Ground at 5pm.

In rugby there is a specific category for players who are over the age of 35 years. In this particular category it’s all about the love for the sport, the beer, the team spirit and most of all the combination of keeping fit while playing in a team and all the social activities that go with being part of this type of group.

The “Old Blacks” are a Rugby veteran team from the southern outskirts of Milan and shall be travelling to Malta in a group of more than 40 persons between 7 and 9 October to play an international friendly in Malta. It is interesting to note that a Maltese citizen forms an active part of this team.
