Paola Hibs Volleyball Club has organised an international volleyball tournament where two teams from Italy - Volley Godego (Bassano, Padova) and Team Volley (Catania, Sicily) - travelled to Malta to challenge the Maltese Champions.

The tournament was organised to increase the international experience of the Paola Hibs Candy team and also serve as a preparation of the upcoming national league.

The event saw a series of exciting and hard fought games in which the local girls showed their mettle and gave the Italian teams no easy task.

In the end Volley Godego placed first. All the clubs involved were very pleased with the level of play and used this opportunity to prepare for their respective leagues starting in the coming weeks.

Paola Hibs Volley Club President, Mrs Carmen Gauci stated that “this tournament was an invaluable experience for our team. We had the opportunity to measure our skills against foreign teams and strengthen the friendship and collaboration with these Italian clubs with a view of further collaboration and further international commitment for our club teams.”

Paola Hibs Candy thanked all those who contributed in various ways to make this event successful.
