The Malta side, under the charge of national coach Ray ‘Zazu’ Farrugia will be facing Ukraine this evening at the Gozo Stadium in a UEFA Euro 2013 qualifier. Kick off is at 6pm.

The MFA decided to stage the match - and also next Tuesday’s clash against Lithuania – in Gozo so that fans on the sister island will have the opportunity to watch the national Under 21 team in action apart from giving them their full support.

Farrugia is aware that today’s match will provide his youngsters with a very difficult task.

After the two home defeats in September – 1-4 against Group leaders Slovenia and 1-2 against second placed Finland – Farrugia is now eyeing something positive from this match.

It is to be remembered that Malta had collected an impressive four points from its opening two away clashes – 0-0 against Finland and 1-2 against Lithuania.
