A unique live concert, Maltin Oriġinali 2, is back again this month after last year’s success. Once again this year, the concert will gather together a selection of the best of Maltese singers to perform their classics that have been entertaining the public over the last four decades.
This year’s concert will be held at the Catholic Institute on 29 and 30 October, with performances staring at 6.30pm each night.
The live band will be under the direction of Maestro Joe Brown, who has composed this year’s musical arrangements. This year’s concert will include a few from last year’s concert, as well as some first-timers.
The line-up includes the likes of Mary Spiteri, The Greenfields, Tony Camilleri (L-Ghannej), Mike Spiteri, Freddie Portelli, Enzo Gusman and Carmen Schembri, Joe Cutajar, David Azzopardi, Mariella Pace Axiak, Bartolo Sisters, Joe George Micallef and Tony Cassar (The Followers).
A portion of the concert will be dedicated to singers who have passed away, amongst them Sammy Bartolo.
The concert will be presented by Norman Hamilton and Josette Hamilton Grech, and is being produced by Maltin Originali.
