Ran the screaming headline in one of your sports pages (TMID, 7 October), true.

It was no less tough for football fans to attend this match with the ongoing works in Mġarr Road, Gozo’s arterial road.

As it is, other entities and businesses on this part of Mġarr Road have either, in an innovative way, offered another access way to their clients through St Leonard Street. But going over fields, (not exactly pleasant in wet conditions not being water buffalos) was a bit much. However, I would like to salute all those who made it possible for this match, despite the difficulties, to be held in Gozo nonetheless.
