Magro Brothers, the Gozo-based food producers, renowned for their local brands Hanini, Savina and Three Hills, have just launched their new and improved website. Designed by Switch Brand Communications and developed by InFusion Solutions, the new website was developed in order to create as much interaction with users as possible.
Magro Brothers already had an online presence but this had become outdated and, more importantly, it no longer reflected the image of the growing company and lacked interactivity. As a company, Magro Brothers are proud of their traditional customer-producer relationships and the directors were adamant that user interactivity needed to be central to their new website.
“We wanted our new site to be as interactive as possible, offering users an experience which would be as close to being in a shop as possible. The product portal, segmented by Brand, not only allows the user to view information such as ‘how to use’, ‘nutritional values’ and ‘wellbeing’ but also lists related recipes according to the particular product!” said Maureen Micallef, marketing coordinator at Magro Brothers. “We are really happy with the result and what’s more, our customers are thrilled with the new functionality!”
The new site also allows users to request factory visits, subscribe to RSS feeds and invites users to subscribe to the Magro Brothers newsletter. Special offers are constantly being updated and customers will soon also have the possibility to shop online directly from the producers of their favourite products. “Many successful websites have one main secret ingredient, website interactivity. Imagine two stores right next to each other, both carrying the same products, same prices, however one attracts more customers than the other. This success is typically down to one reason – the way the outlet interacts and engages with its customers. In terms of web design, the same concepts can be applied. It is equally important to build certain web features into a site to attract users and invite them to engage with a webpage,” said Kristoff Zammit Ciantar, director at InFusion Solutions.
