The recently-formed (temporary) executive committee ‘Safeguarding St Paul’s Bay’ (Nieħdu Ħsieb San Pawl il-Baħar), a residents’ association for the zones falling within the confines of St Paul’s Bay local council, is informing all those concerned that a general meeting will be held at the Dolmen Resort Hotel on Sunday 27 November at 10am.
During the meeting, the participating audience will have the opportunity to discuss and approve the association’s statute which is now available for downloading on the website http://sanpawl.webs.com as well as having the opportunity to vote in the election of the members of the executive committee.
Although the association is committed to look after the interests of both the permanent and summer residents as well as commercial establishments in St Paul’s Bay, districts and hamlets, only residents appearing on the St Paul’s Bay local council’s electoral register will be eligible to vote or stand for the executive committee.
Anyone wishing to contest the committee’s elections must first register with the Temporary Executive Committee through its email address [email protected] by not later than noon of 20 November. The request must also include a brief biographical note of not more than 150 words together with the person’s name, address and ID number for publication on the association’s website. The association may also be contacted on mobile number 9964-6615 (9am-5pm).
Following our first successful meeting that was held at the Gillieru Hotel on 2 October, the Temporary Executive Committee is equally looking forward to the same standard of residents’ participation for the forthcoming meeting.
